A: So many reasons! :)
We have incorporated the most researched, medically proven ingredients to combat, prevent and heal breakouts. We have an all inclusive program that works during the different stages of acne including flare-ups and the maintenance period. The features and synergy of the ingredient power team is listed below.
-
Benzoyl Peroxide is one of the most aggressive and effective ingredients in treating acne. Benzoyl Peroxide should be used in times of flare-up, but then discontinued during the maintenance stage.
- Salicylic Acid is aggressive at penetrating through the follicle to combat the source of acne and kill p. acne bacteria.
- Zinc and sulphur are anti-inflammatories that boost the immune system and accelerate wound healing.
- And of course retinol, the ingredient with the longest track record at increasing cell turnover and regulating the skin.
A: Because there are different types and stages of acne the product use will vary. Younger, oilier skin types will need to be more aggressive and use the treatment products more frequently. A mature skin that is dry, but experiencing breakouts will spot treat the breakouts and use the gloClear less often.
A: Breakouts have a lifespan of 2-4 weeks. The start of a regimen will treat existing, superficial lesions then move into preventing breakouts. A continued program will address the root of the problem and make the corrections before they are visual on the skin. Stick with your program for at least 8 weeks to see true results. Once the breakout is healed your regular skin care program may be used again along with a maintenance program to prevent future breakouts.
A: Yes! gloClear can be mild and gentle enough for adult skin. The frequency of product use determines the strength of the program. For a mild performance, use the products less often. For instance instead of using the gloClear Complexion Pads twice a day, use once daily or even every other day. By customizing the use, the products will perform at different levels.
A: Yes! gloClear products work on all body parts, and perform especially well on backs and arms.

A: It depends on the type of breakout and how severe. As stated above, a typical breakout lasts 2-4 weeks. During the initial weeks of a breakout, symptoms are not visible on the skin. They are brewing in the lower layers and eventually work their way to the surface of the skin. The minimum program needs 6-8 weeks to affect breakouts. Anything shorter than that is strictly superficial and will not ensure a lasting outcome.

A: Just use as a spot treatment when necessary. If breakouts occur during the menstrual cycle, start to use the gloClear products 1 week prior to prevent breakouts and continue through the healing stages of the breakout.
A: No, only humans test our products!
A: "Chemical" is an interesting word, as all ingredients can be considered chemicals. I like to refer to the ingredients as actives. These actives are safe to use when the directions are followed. Overuse of any product can have a negative effect.
Acne is a skin disease and majority of breakouts need to be treated aggressively. Acne may lead to depression and lowered self esteem, so effective products that will treat the skin are the top priority. The shorter the lifespan of the breakouts, the happier you'll be!
A: Sensitive skin types can use the product in moderation. Less will be better, but still provide results. The gloClear Refining Mask is the ideal product for sensitive skin with breakouts because it contains a higher, more comfortable pH and many anti-inflammatory ingredients. It cools the skin on contact, resulting in a refreshed and soothed complexion.
A: Of course! Breakouts can be the worst during travel so most definitely have your emergency breakout kit packed!
A: The gloClear line is effective in treating all breakouts including blackheads. A maintenance program would also be recommended to keep blackheads away.

A: Anyone with mild to severe breakouts, dry to oily types, sensitive to thick skin can all use the gloClear line. The frequency of use will vary when treating different skin types and ages. A younger, oilier skin type will need to use the products more frequently than someone who gets random breakouts.
